Shopping at Publix Funds Nazis
How the heiress to the majority stock of this chain uses it to end Democracy
Sounds pretty awful doesn’t it? Over the years Publix shoppers have ultimately provided millions to far right causes as they shop for groceries to sustain themselves.
This quote is from WAPO columnist on 12/1/22 Peter Baker:
WASHINGTON — Former President Donald J. Trump once again made clear on Thursday night exactly where he stands in the conflict between the American justice system and the mob that ransacked the Capitol to stop the peaceful transfer of power nearly two years ago.
He stands with the mob.
Let’s examine a key actor in funding the mob to attack the capital and overthrow the duly elected President
It works like this. The heiress to Publix, Julie Jenkins Fancelli is the major stockholder of the Corporation. As Publix profits increase so does her stock and thus her ability to donate.
The problem lies in who she donates to. She has provided $300,000 alone to support the January 6th Insurrection. There were many others adding tens of millions to support the insurrection.
From Open Secrets, a non profit that tracks Dark Money in Politics
One of the dark money groups that reportedly parked funds and helped promote the rally, the Rule of Law Defense Fund, is the 501(c)(4) affiliated with the Republican Attorneys General Association.
At least $150,000 of the Rule of Law Defense Fund’s money for the rally reportedly came from Fancelli in a Dec. 29 donation a little more than a week before the rally, according to records reviewed by the Washington Post.
Other Rule of Law Defense Fund donors included opaque nonprofits such as the Koch network’s Freedom Partners Chamber of Commerce, the Edison Electric Institute, Empowering Ohio’s Economy and the Alliance Defending Freedom.
Don’t kid yourself by tossing over what the Fascist Republican’s goal was.
There were several options and scenarios to stop the validation of the vote, to declare Trump victorious or throw the nation into a state of emergency with Trump as the President.
Clearly, even though they failed that day the American Fascist Party has and will continue the insurrection to restore Trump and do so before the 2024 election.
So, when you shop Publix you are helping her to achieve the Fascist goal of overthrowing the duly elected Government of the United States.
Publix has naturally attempted to disentangle itself from Jenkins Fancelli, claiming the corporation does not support the far right despite their consistent donations in Florida to those candidates that for example support gun loving candidates.
The only way to solve this issue is to “vote with your pocketbook.“
The last time I completely boycotted Publix I did so for 13 months spending at least $8,000 at other supermarkets.
Since then I have avoided shopping at Publix for only a few items that I can not get at alternative chains.

Didn't know about the Publix heiress, unless subconsciously - for I shifted from Publix to Piggly Wiggly, Trader Joes and Fresh Market in the Birmingham, Alabama area. Piggly Wiggly is a very old grocery chain headquarter in South Georgia, I think. Hope they aren't right wing, but if they are, I'm SOL without using Publix. Also, the Pig, as that chain's stores are often called, is about a one minute drive from my apartment. My hillbilly tech friend and I recently did a podcast on America being the white supremacy headquarters of the world. Let me know if you want to watch it and I'll send you a link.
